New this year! The Green Arm Band program.
Have you wondered why some of umpires are wearing green armbands? The armbands indicate that these are new officials and are learning the game.
The idea behind it is make sure everyone is working together to help our new officials out (e.g sportsmanship, watching body language/tone when questioning a call).
This is to ensure they have a safe work environment as they learn the game. Without these officials we would not be able not be able to enjoy the game of baseball.
